MEAT Flavors?

So here is the new blog that I am stumped over lately.........
If vegetarians and vegans choose not to eat meat, then why do some buy food items flavored and textured like meat?  I was in the food store when I noticed that there are all sorts of products for vegans and vegetarians that mimic the taste and consistency of meat.  Your thoughts?

Biome Project

Hey all those Biome Builders!  Use this blog as a method of communicating with others in my class about the Biome project due Tuesday, October 18, 2011.  Please ask questions, give advice, and encourage each other to achieve success!  I think that you all have been doing absolutely wonderful on these projects and I cannot wait to see the final outcome.  Remember, projects that are worth an A and that are turned in early will gain an extra credit point towards the final grade.  Those projects not A worthy may not receive extra credit, but they will receive an extra eye telling them how to achieve an A.  Good luck!

It's all Carb free lately....

What is the difference between simple and complex carbohydrates?  Do you think that we need carbohydrates? (There are many diets that think not...)

Biome Project

OK, so the project appears to be ridiculously difficult to put together.  Use this blog to converse with each other so you can all assist and be assisted.  My tip.......attach all your circles with paper clips first, then staple, and then hot glue.  This allows for stability and easy patch work.  I will show you this in class on Monday as we ran out of time on Friday.  Good luck!
